Privacy Policy
Scanoba by Tegribas Global Limited — last updated July 2026
No account required
No document uploads
Camera permission only
Scanoba is a document scanner app built to work entirely on your device. This policy explains,
in plain language, exactly what does and doesn't happen with your data.
What Scanoba does not do
- Scanoba does not require you to create an account or sign in.
- Scanoba does not upload your scanned documents, images, or PDFs to any server. Everything
you scan is saved only in this app's private storage on your device.
- Scanoba does not read, share, or sell your documents to anyone, including us.
- Scanoba never watermarks your exports, on any plan.
Permissions Scanoba requests
Scanoba only ever asks for one permission up front:
- Camera — used to scan documents. Photos are processed on your device to
detect edges, correct perspective, and build your PDF. They are never transmitted anywhere.
One more permission is requested only at the exact moment you choose to use a related feature:
- Biometrics (Face ID / fingerprint) — only if you turn on Document Lock for
a specific file. Your biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system;
it never reaches Scanoba or leaves your phone.
Local storage and document encryption
Your scanned documents, folders, and settings are stored locally using your device's own
storage. If you turn on Document Lock for a file, that PDF is encrypted at rest (AES-256) with
a key held in your device's secure hardware-backed keystore (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain) —
not by us.
Third-party services we rely on
Scanoba is free to use with no watermarks. To keep it that way, the free tier shows ads, and
the Pro tier is sold as a subscription. Both involve a small number of well-known third-party
services, described here for transparency:
-
Google AdMob — shows a banner ad on the Library screen for free-tier users
only. Ads are never shown while scanning, reviewing, or saving a document. AdMob may collect
device and advertising identifiers under Google's own
privacy policy.
-
RevenueCat — manages Pro subscription status across devices so you can
restore a purchase by email. RevenueCat receives purchase/subscription receipt data from the
App Store or Google Play — never your scanned documents. See
RevenueCat's privacy policy.
-
Apple App Store / Google Play — handle all payment details directly.
Scanoba never sees or stores your card information.
Children's privacy
Scanoba is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Deleting your data
Since everything lives on your device, deleting your data is entirely in your hands: delete a
document or folder from within the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything at once.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of
Scanoba after a change means you accept the updated policy.
